Trap - arranged by Marcel Donné & Eivind SommerstenReview by LaLa, 25/05/2025 I admit, when it comes to I think overall this remix sounds a bit on the soft side for me. Some sections are just too soft on the instrumentation, and just a tad more cheerful than they should be (IMHO). Somehow, the original's moody, melancholic undertone seems to be lost in the synth sounds. It starts very promising, though: I really like the heartbeat intro with the trumpet lead, although I feel it's a bit lacking on the low end here - some more growl would've been welcome. Fortunately, the bass in the next section (2:10+) makes up for that, and the flute lead is just a lovely choice here. The And while I absolutely love the percussion in 4:57+, yet again, the presence of the synthy sounds just seem to drag it down a bit. Another good example of that is the synthy lead from 6:03+ that sounds out of place for me. Anyway, I won't go on any further, because this review is getting long enough already, and because I think you guys get the picture. My nitpicky hair-splitting aside this is a lovely, lovely production with so many good things going for it. I just wish it went deeper with a bit more grit. |

Armageddon Man - arranged by Eivind SommerstenReview by Divus, 05/05/2025 It's a refreshing experience for this whittaker´s masterpiece. Some things in life do come true if you are persistent enough. |

Barbarian The king - arranged by TollisReview by xazzo, 05/05/2025 Cheap very grainy AI vocals and you can't even hear the lyrics because of the autotune shite! This kind of AI assisted garbage is almost just as bad as fully AI generated nonmusic and the use of fake vocals makes me wonder what other AI generated crap this person might be incorporating into their music. No. Just no. |

Burning Mist (Hades Nebula+Thanatos, Fusion Remix) - arranged by VandahliaReview by LaLa, 05/05/2025 Great idea for pairing these two for a fusion remix! And it's arranged very well, I like the seamless flow of this remix. Unfortunately, the instrumentation sounds rather unsophisticated. The guitar sounds especially flat and soulless. It's a shame, really. |

Thing on a Spring (dance remix) - arranged by choscReview by djdaemon, 04/05/2025 A bit long and takes a while to become the tune we a love (Rob Hubbard). |

Barbarian The king - arranged by TollisReview by LaLa, 28/04/2025 Starts out very promising, very grandiose. Unfortunately, when the choir first comes in there's a very sharp drop in the volume levels for all the other instruments and the choir is a bit washed out, too, making it hard to understand. Some more attention to mixing would've been welcome here. Personally, I don't actually have a problem with the AI choir - after all, other remixers also use, for example, sampled orchestral sounds, since not every can afford to hire the London Symphonic Orchestra… I am much more disappointed by how little of Barbarian I hear in this remix. It's a fantastic, epic soundtrack and so little of it is present here. The AI lead singer, though, sounds really weird. Not very clear, maybe due to too much post-processing, or the AI generator just wasn't very good to begin with - I don't know, but it's definitely on the wrong side of the And then the tune just cuts off suddenly at the end - next time, let the reverbs all die out before you end your recording. All in all, I do admire the effort you put into this, but again, I wish it contained more Barbarian. |

Bombo (Bombossimo mix) - arranged by 7anReview by grin, 17/04/2025 This is one of my favouritest chill remix around. I am usually sensitive when the remix differs any little way from the original, but in this case… worths the difference! |

Zoom (2025 live) - arranged by NecroPoloReview by LaLa, 14/04/2025 Loved the Hypercharger version when you published that 7 years ago (where did the time go?…), love this one even more. Somehow it's both more raw and more refined at the same time. No clue how you do it, but it's fantastic! |

Wings of Fury - arranged by TollisReview by LaLa, 14/04/2025 Shows a lot of promise. Seems to try to imitate the 'fighting hero' style Hollywood orchestral score, and while it suceeds in some aspects, it's not quite there, yet. Also: the MP3 download cuts off abruptly at 2:53, while the video continues for another 40 seconds. |
|
Gordian Tomb - arranged by TollisReview by LaLa, 12/04/2025 Welcome to the remix community! This is a promising arrangement, although several of the orchestral instruments sound somewhat flat to me (esp the woodwinds). The percussion sounds powerful, though, and you made great use of it. Also, in the MP3 file it cuts off the tail end of the last reverbs - next time let them all ring out before ending the recording. All in all, not bad! |

Batman (Long) - arranged by Eivind SommerstenReview by Divus, 06/04/2025 Definitely one of the best remixes in the last couple of months. It's all harmoniously well done. The only thing missing is a female opera vocal. My 2 cents. It's a good rhythm. |

International Karate - arranged by Rune-Bertil'sReview by Yahtzee, 29/03/2025 This interpretation is so much fun! Bringing in the original sounds at times to complement the swing instruments is genius. |

Yie Ar Kung-fu II Live Performance - arranged by Tony Fluke73 WirenReview by LaLa, 22/03/2025 I quite enjoy this! With these reverberated drums it sounds like an 1980s pop ballad, the only thing missing is a vocal with some sappy lyrics. 😁And that arpeggiated sound coming in at 2:10 - perfecto👌! |

OutRun Passing Breeze Live Performance - arranged by Tony Fluke73 WirenReview by Radiarion, 21/03/2025 This captures the original beautifully with your own personal twist to it. I actually imagined myself playing outrun listening to this, rather than driving my Farrari by the ocean, more like flipping it 😊Only thing is its a little too linear and needs a little more of a human element (too perfect on timing?) The Chorus is great. Very nice work |

Turrican 3 Payment Day Title Music - arranged by Tony Fluke73 WirenReview by Radiarion, 21/03/2025 Hi Tony, Love your Amiga remakes, what a musical genius. Really like this Turrican 3 payment day mix. Id like to hear it be a little more solid with the drums and the intro, other than that, amazing work takes me back to the 80s & 90s when games were games 😊 |

Heaven - arranged by protonReview by LaLa, 09/03/2025 Flat and lifeless instruments: where are the signature slides from the original? How about some variations to make this feel less robotic? The arrangement is also boring - just repeating the exact same patterns a few times does not make for interesting listening. On top of it the entire remix is too low on volume. This classic SID deserves a lot better. |

The Seven Gates Of Jambala - arranged by Glyn R BrownReview by Poke16384, 06/03/2025 Woah! This is why Glyn is considered to be the top remixer in the scene.. Arrangement, Soundscape and Dynamics.. He's the master of all.. This is so beautiful & so emotive.. The power is used to the max but never gets out of control.. and the whole track is a wonderful journey.. |

Hi Fi Sky - arranged by Eivind SommerstenReview by LaLa, 04/03/2025 I've been a big fan of Hi Fi Sky, both as a piece of music, but especially after I learned about the technical wizardry that created it. Here you've captured the atmosphere and spirit of the original so well, and you even managed to embellish it (those lush reverbs: my gosh, so wonderful!). I just can't stop listening to it. Really well done! |

PCW-Tune 88 - arranged by Glyn R BrownReview by Eivind Sommersten, 28/02/2025 What a suprising choice of original and genre from the grand old master, and happily so!The mix contains lovely SID-sounds and this is a great production overall. It just builds and builds upon the original and is an excellent example of how a relatively simple and short (and awesome) SID-classic can be expanded into a dynamic story, in the end being an addition to the original as well as of course a huge homage to both composition and composer (RIP). Love the break after about two minutes, what a signature - no problem picking out the artist/remixer in a lineup there! 😊 By the way I also like the audio quality and mastering, I think you've done a good job overall! I don't want to disregard DMC (https://remix64.com/track/dmc/pcw-tune-88-tribute-to-edwin/) who also made a great version of this SID but I feel this is now the truly modern variant of it! |

Aspar Grand Prix (Highscore) - arranged by Eivind SommerstenReview by LaLa, 19/02/2025 Beautiful arrangement, really well done. I really like the emotional arc from the soft piano to the full orchestra. The reason it's not a red smilie from me is that the string section does not sound articulated well, especially during the climax (2:36 and on). I hear no legato whatsoever, the repeated notes of the same pitch blend together completely - it all sounds a bit artificial, breaking the illusion that was built up by all the other, relatively well shaped and emotionally charged instruments. |

Soulless - arranged by K8-bitReview by PhunkyData, 08/02/2025 Just came across your stuff on Slayradio with their latest show.Love it! Brilliant arrangement. Here is the last bits we need to fill to reach 64k (and are allowed to place this review)Oh my.! |

Beroot Olejuuri - arranged by Dr FutureReview by LaLa, 02/02/2025 I was really vacillating between red and orange smilie for this one. Ultimately, I went with orange. I just feel like some of the funkiness of the original is a bit lost here for some reason. Otherwise, it's technically an excellent production (must be if it's from Dr Future, right?), it's just missing that extra spicing that made the original memorable. And yeah, I agree with kwed: that fadeout came too abrupt, and it feels too fast. |

Scratching Zwaantjes Returns - arranged by Eivind SommerstenReview by LaLa, 31/01/2025 There's just something about this remix that really appeals to me. Maybe it's those SID toms (in 20CC's signature style), maybe it's that strong hitting, subwoofer shattering bass line that kicks in at 0:56, maybe it's those occasional sax licks, maybe it's the staccato line at 1:49 that seems straight out of Vangelis' Dervish D - it's all one great package! |

Supremacy (Encore64 V2) - arranged by Peter ClarkeReview by C64_Gamer, 20/01/2025 This is a really great interpretation of Supremacy. As with a lot of Peters remixes you never quite know where he will take you.. The orchestra arrangement here is wonderful in the way it shifts gears while sounding very authentic and I have to agree with others here, the closing watch chimes are pure musical emotion. Super remix Peter. |

He is really good at playing by ear and provides a weekly event to look forward to. If you like retro gaming music from the 80s and 90s you can't go wrong!. |
