Storm - 2017 Version - arranged by Glyn R BrownReview by Waz, 29/08/2025 Beautiful use of the piano as ever and with the fast pace that this 2017 version has, it really does still after all these years kick in very nicely. It sounds like Glyn had plenty of fun with this one, especially the voices in the second part to add a second dimension to that, sounding euphoric trance-like in its way that it all just builds. |

The Human Race - arranged by MRTReview by Waz, 29/08/2025 From the opening section with some gorgeous instruments and feeling of space, the mix develops into a really lovely sense of being somewhat uplifting and yet reflective at the same time. That demo scene-like gentle arpeggio in the background is just the icing on a very nice cake full of surprises. Thoroughly enjoyable. |

Agent X 2 - arranged by Tim ForsythReview by Waz, 29/08/2025 There's so much delightful warmth in this one, from the precision of those rises and falls that are the Follin trademarks of the original, and being played with gusto and virtuousity. When you listen to how much Tim has progressed since then, remixes like this show the foundation of what was there - musicality, authenticity and enjoyment of the original that shines through. |

One man and his droid - arranged by DummyReview by Waz, 29/08/2025 Did someone say One Man and His Droid goes swashbuckling? It's very much of that era of film-making with this one, and plenty of lovely instrumentation and timing to make it go along. The main hooks and verses are all there - and if the middle interlude Maneater-esque section had been perforrmed, that would have elevated it even higher. A very enjoyable and well crafted listen nonetheless. (and please do another remix some time Dummy, this one showed so much promise and skill) |

Bump Set Spike (Schizo Classical Remix) - arranged by Nicklas SchmidtReview by Waz, 29/08/2025 From the opening stanza of the main piano having a lovely relaxed feel, and on to the middle waltz part that wouldn't look out of place at an Andre Rieu concert, to the final more bombastic Proms-like show, the way this develops in its arrangement is carefully crafted and skilled. A definite grower with each listen and comes highly recommended. |

Action Biker - arranged by Johan AnderssonReview by Waz, 29/08/2025 Clean and concise, and the arrangement works wonders to keep things as fun as the original, which is key here. Lovely use of the guitars too to give it that sligthtly country rock feel and keeping that intact too. I enjoyed this back then and still do now. |

Amaurote (Full Sci-Fi Horror Mix) - arranged by Martin DoddReview by Waz, 29/08/2025 Take all the dark John Carpenter vibes and add the suspense of all the piano and instruments that culminate in a real sense of panic, and you are on to a winner here. It really does offer something different and highlights also how under-rated the in-game tune by David Whittaker was in the first place.Won't be to everyone's liking, but I really enjoyed this one back in 2021 and still do now, with a sense of foreboding but for different reasons. |

Spellbound - arranged by ManoReview by Waz, 29/08/2025 Full marks for the originality here - with a nod to the likes of Monkey Island along the way. Take Mexican mariachi, along with Spanish flamenco, mix them up with that sense of being swashbuckling at sea somewhere, and you're taken to a different place. Very enjoyable and crucially, accomplished in its composition and feel. |

The Last V8 - arranged by Eivind SommerstenReview by Divus, 20/08/2025 The old music master in his new suit. Perfect production and samples. A real summer refreshment. |

The Last V8 - arranged by Eivind SommerstenReview by LaLa, 17/08/2025 A phenomenal new perspective on The Last V8! It's hypnotic, it's mesmerizing, the guitar adds raw edginess, and on top of it, it's all mixed to perfection. (I am especially fond of the crystal clear drums that really elevate the mix.) |

Dan Dare 3 - arranged by Tim ForsythReview by BeeZerk, 08/08/2025 I'm really torn on this one, because it's one of my favorite SIDs of all time. I love the appearance! Production-wise, it's a 10 out of 10 for a 1:1 rendition, no doubt about it. But to be honest, that's not the hardest part nowadays. What I dislike—or rather, what I miss—is the lack of originality and a personal signature from Tim. I know he's capable of that, because we can hear it after minute 3:12! This SID offers the best foundation, incredible potential, and virtually infinite versatility. Yet this rendition feels onlylike an effortless direct translation of the original arrangement, and Tim misses the chance to make it truly his own. That’s what makes my heart bleed! In its current form, it’s more of a crowd-pleaser than a piece of art with its own soul or identity. Nevertheless, it’s still a very good rendition—just not exceptional in my eyes (or ears). |

Creatures medley (Torture Mixture) - arranged by SIDNIFYReview by Scaver, 06/08/2025 This track is one hell of a hardcore ride! Only a few remixers dare to touch Creatures tracks and even less manage to create a quality remix of ’em ’cause these tracks are so difficult to re-imagine to create something new with nice own added value while keeping the punchy and energic pulse of the original tracks. Not only this remix manages to bring a fresh and kicking re-arrangement but it also achieves to include more tracks which is even harder ’cause many times these tracks are of different tempo and tuning. This is one fine example of extraordinary musicmanship and bold attitude. The sound, mixing, mastering, own ideas and the guitar solo are all of special treats. That’s how a real quality remix and medley is done. A worthy tribute to the awesome work of Steve Rowlands. Amazing. Thanks! |

Suicide Express 90's Trance mix - arranged by Steve FosterReview by LaLa, 04/08/2025 This is really good! I don't know where the vocals come from (real singer? AI? sample lib?), but it sounds amazing. My only wish is that it featured more of the upbeat 'dancey' parts, but that's just me splitting hairs. It's a really enjoyable remix as-is. |

Sigma 7 Arok 2025 Entry - arranged by Tony Fluke73 WirenReview by LaLa, 24/07/2025 Along with Tim's 'Dan Dare 3' remix this was my other favorite from the Arok 2025 compo. Just so smooth and well arranged. Everything has its place in this piece and they work together to nicely. Just a wonderful musical experience! Thank you, Tony! |

Diminishing Returns - arranged by Eivind SommerstenReview by Divus, 22/07/2025 This is a special music piece that was hidden away for many years, like a shiny diamond found after a long time. It mixes fun beats with sounds from an old computer called the C 64, making something really cool and unique. |

Dan Dare 3 - arranged by Tim ForsythReview by LaLa, 20/07/2025 Totally should've won the compo at Arok 2025, bar none! Brilliant! I can't stop listening to it over and over and over again! (And yes, I agree: it's quite surprising this groovy JT tune has so few remixes.) |

Xenophobe remake - arranged by Tollis offlineReview by Jackal, 19/07/2025 If you're gonna just load the mod file and assign vst's as the instruments, you NEED to recreate the pitchbends! The incorrect note at 0:25 & 0:55 is a full note out of tune ! it's supposed to slide up to the next note. Overall though, the instrumentation was quite well picked, but there's a bit much reverb, there's a click on one of the kick drum sounds too that really got on my tits. It's a good start… but you can do better. There was an interesting bass sound that plays once at 1:28 and then simply doesnt play again. Did you just give up on that idea ? |

Spellbound - arranged by BoloReview by Eivind Sommersten, 07/07/2025 This is a pretty good first remix! It's not an easy SID to get right but the musical content sounds good to me. A few tips would be:

Guitar Slinger - Second Part Remix - arranged by ElEcTrAReview by Armandox, 04/07/2025 Very interesting and clean rework of the 2nd part of Guitar Slinger. I can hear you put some work into this! The only thing I'm not really a fan of is that arpeggio coming in at 0:48. Perhaps it's just a tad too loud in the mix or maybe should've been played an octave higher. It feels like a stand-alone part that is 'overlayed' over the track. But could have, would have, should have… This is your creative freedom, and I like where you took this and what you did arrangement wise. |

Spellbound - arranged by BoloReview by LaLa, 04/07/2025 Kudos to you for tackling such a hard SID tune to remix on your first try! And you basically covered the tune in its entirety - respect! I think your instrument choices are pretty good, but I wish you added more dynamics to them. They all sound pretty much the same throughout the entire remix, with not much variation from section to section, or even from note to note. Even if you're going for a more 'artificial' sound (not trying to mimic a human orchestra), if you add expression, articulation and/or ornamentation to those instruments from time to time, they will sound much more interesting to your listeners. While I like the harpsichord (?) you introduced at 0:46), I would've switched to a different lead sound at 1:31 to keep things interesting. That rising sound effect at 1:54 - very nice! I really like the piccolo lead you introduced at 2:45, that's a nice touch! Starting at 3:08 you are alternating between the harpsichord and the flute - I quite like that! I like your use of a church bell in the coda (at 4:29), reminds me of my own, old remix of the same SID. 😉 Overall, lots to like here, some things need refinement, but for a first remix - you should be really proud of it! |

Green Beret Blues - arranged by Marcel DonnéReview by Lith, 01/07/2025 The sounds of Vangelis should never be forgotten and this is going to keep the stew of awesome sounds that Vangelis invented boiling. You've done a man's job Sir |

Where Nostalgia Thrives (Hope In Dystopia) - arranged by Dr FutureReview by LaLa, 30/06/2025 The style and instrumentation is spot-on 80s, no doubt there. The lyrics are pretty good, too, although I think the pace of the lyrics do not always match the pace of the music, so at times they sound a bit awkward. Not your singer's fault, she is pretty good! |

Commando (The Rockabilly Strut) - arranged by Johan AnderssonReview by LaLa, 28/06/2025 I just listened to theStray Cat Strut(never heard of this band before), and your remix sir, is a really, really good pastiche of that style and that specific song! Even before I listened to the Stray Cats, I thought this remix was really well done, but now I am even more in awe. (Just one small note: I think the mix is a bit too hot, comes across as a bit loud on my headphones. However, no distortions or any other artifacts.) |

Nemesis the Warlock - arranged by Eivind SommerstenReview by LaLa, 25/06/2025 First of all, congrats on your 100th remix! Quite an achievement! Unfortunately, as much as I would like to, I just can't rate it a red smilie. While technically it's a superb production, emotionally it just doesn't quite grab me. Not sure why, because all the pieces are there: epic instrumentation, choir, big drums… Maybe it'll grow on me if I keep listening to it. |

Batman (long) Violin version - arranged by Tollis offlineReview by Ntino, 23/06/2025 Very nice performance with the violin, and technically to my ears it sounds very good, Of course it is completely subjective what each of us likes. overall very nice performance |
|
Batman (long) Violin version - arranged by Tollis offlineReview by LaLa, 22/06/2025 Neat idea, but it misses the mark bigly at several points. For example, the section between 0:53-1:30 sounds way too dissonant to me, dare I say, off-key. When the bass+drum comes in at 1:30, it sounds so much better. I also hear bum notes in the bass between 2:13-2:34. I also think the violin goes into high pitches that sound unnatural (e.g. at around 0:35-0:45). Maybe your violin samples just get stretched beyond their limit? All in all, a great idea to use violin as the basis for your remix, but it sorely lacks on execution at way too many spots. |

The Seven Gates Of Jambala - arranged by Glyn R BrownReview by Aule, 19/06/2025 I am overwhelmed! The flute, the chorus. Wow! Sounds like a movie score. In my eyes it is a masterpiece. Wow, wow and wow!!! |
|
Batman (Long) - arranged by Eivind SommerstenReview by Aule, 18/06/2025 Wonderful! I love the mood you submitted with this track. The different samples/instruments you use makes it very varied. Thumb up! |

Trap - arranged by Marcel Donné & Eivind SommerstenReview by Belandriel, 14/06/2025 I am a huge fan of this piece, which I think was Ben Daglish' best artwork. That's also why I am very critical about remixes of this song, but this version is almost perfect in my opinion! |

Giana Sisters Remix - arranged by TheBrutalToothReview by LaLa, 09/06/2025 Hi and welcome to the remix community! I quite like the dulcimer-like instrument in the intro, I think it fits well. Then it turns more electronic with that fat lead, which was a bit of a surprise, but it still works. I like your ending, too, I think you managed to create a great outro for this remix. Nice remix, well done! |
