I just LOVE the main melody of Desert Dream. When I finally had an opportunity to make an Amiga remix for the Remix64 20th anniversary compo, this .mod was a very easy choice for me. It's not an easy song to tackle, though. Previous attempts from me have always ended up in the bin.. I am very satisfied with the result this time, and it got a 2nd place for best Amigaremix in the compo! Thanks to all who voted. This was my main entry, I used about a month making and finetuning this remix.

I've been listenening to this tune ALOT of late…mainly due to me getting it in my car stereo for journies to work (along with many others). I had to refresh the original, which I thought I knew well. This version could not have been handled any better…it's perfect. The way the tune builds from those magical opening chords of the original. The subtle spinkles and sparkles added along the way, before we finally get to the main melody. The pacing is perfect, even thought it's not 1:1 with the original, it's still brilliantly done, so that when the lead melody does kick in, you feel the journey to it was well worth it. ANd of top of it all, some great production, leaving us with a crisp and clean tune to revel in. I felt I had to write a review, as this has become one of my fav ever Amiga remixes. A stone wall classic original, and an absolte belter of a remix!
