Story

This is my take on a budget Firebird game - that was pretty dire, and saw off £2.50 of my precious (13 year old me's) pocket money. I only used to load it up for the music, which was it's only saving grace.
Entered last minute into the 25 year Remix64 compo at BITLive Bergen, earning a respectable joint 3rd place.

Since then I've tweaked and extended beyind the compo 4m limit, and hopefully made it a bit better.

Honestly, the original SID (which I didn't know before) is nothing to write home about. It's fine as far as 1984's game music goes, but not particularly outstanding. All the more amazing what Tomsk has been able to create out of it. His remix may not be in your face the first time you listen to it, but its imprint lingered in my brain long after. Especially the second part after the key change. I keep coming back to it, like a moth to a light - it just keeps drawing me in somehow.
