Story
This song was made using the 'Record MakerMatic' in DS game WarioWare D.I.Y., which is basically a more advanced version of the music tool found in Mario Paint.
Limitations include 4 instrument channels and a percussion channel. Each of these channels can be set to play a specific pre-made instrument or samplebank, of which the game features a small selection. Perhaps the biggest limitation occurs in the instrument channels, as you are limited to only a few octaves in your choice of notes. Solutions to this can be to either change the notes, or spread the melody across two channels (using another instrument that covers different pitches in the other channel). You can hear the latter a fair bit in this song! There's also the matter of song length. Each song has a maximum of 24 patterns, and the duration of these patterns is directly linked to tempo, making 3 minutes about the longest a song can plausibly be.
If you'd like to hear some more WarioWare D.I.Y. songs, you could check out MEGA micromusic, the compilation this was originally featured on, or just search YouTube. Here's a few I've found that I quite like: Ikachan, Windmill Hut, Plantation, Starlight Zone, Prelude Mix, Floors 1-10.

Boz shouts:I had to listen to this quite a few times, but basically I think it's one that's going to split the audience down the middle. Some will love the quaint zany sampling, some will loathe it. Because of this, I'm giving it Average to sit on the fence!

Umm, no. Putting one funny sample after another doesn't make for good music. At least it shows some promise, but as is, it's incredibly amateurish (mostly thanks to the production method used).
