Peter Clarke - Ocean Loader III (Encore64)

Having made a couple of previous remixes of Ocean dries up which was it's nickname back in 1987, I decided that this remix would get some serious re-imagining and so it's a remix of 2-halves. It begins a little cinematically, with some classical orchestra into Prog-Rock to finish and deliver the main tune you know from the SID. I definitely feel that I achieved what I set out to do and on this particular remix, I didn't need to worry what the original SID composer might think about it. Mr Danko mixed & mastered for me and did an amazing job… like you'd expect anything less..

This remix sits solidly in the symphonic prog-rock style with the original's arrangement reworked very cleverly to fit into this genre. Luckily, it retains the original's uptempo backbone, enhanced with guitars no doubt all played by Peter himself, resulting in a wonderful track that really brings back memories: ah, back when we didn't mind the several minute long load times because we got music like this in return!…
