Someone commented on my 'Monty Gets Orchestrated' remix that they 'weren't convinced by the instruments' and….

 

It's stuck with me for a couple of months - and I have to say, I agree. The string samples lacked something in terms of 'instrument reality'.

 

So, here we are with a full orchestral OL3. New samples, more reality in the bowing and dynamics.

 

Alongside my other OL3 remix, (21st Century SID Remix), I worked on this as a complete contrast in sound and structure

I'm not really into orchestral remixes but only lack of hearing would let me say that I don't appreciate the work behind it much. It's a great track with great arrangement but I like the other version better.

The arrangement is really good, but I still think it doesn't sound very realistic. The playing should be more dynamic. Maybe altering the volume would bring out more dynamics. My opinion.

This has always been my most favorite Ocean loader and hearing it in an orchestral interpretation by the original author himself is really special.

The arrangement is masterful, the slowed down tempo really fits the grand orchestra sounds.

Just wonderful, wonderful stuff. Thank you!

Listening to this version after Peters other Ocean Loader remix really brings out the contrast between the two. This remix oozes emotion and feeling in the arrangement. I love the different tempos and the highs and lows. LaLa said it A Masterful Arrangement and 3 straight reds from me.
