Hey party people, here is JLD & ziona with our first collab. This was our entry for the Arok Party Remix compo. We ended up at second place in a compo with a lot of good contributions. Big congrats to Nadin Varga taking the first place with a splendid remix.

We decided back in February that we some time in the future should do a collab. We share the same style / vibes when it comes to remixes.

So I (JLD) started to search for a SID that we could do our thing with.
After that I dug quite deep to find our perfect first collab remix, I found this gem by Stellan Andersson (Dane).

But it was not an obvious tune to remix. The original tempo is 95bpm and a ballad. We wanted to do a more EDM danceable remix. But the very nice melody just got stuck in my head and I couldn't let it go. (Disclaimer - this melody is a dangerous one after you put it on loop, so I wasn't able to let it go either 😃 - ziona)

So I just did some test and increased the tempo to 120bpm and YES! It works! Happy with the result I sent a sample to ziona and ask if this is a tune we can do our first collab with. And by now you all know the answer. 😁

(He built up the structure of the song, so I was working with a nice polished start, as opposed to another style of classic cooperation, where "one part is done by me, and the following one by someone else - so it felt like filling it up and putting the icing on the cake of his brilliance, but also an intro and some extension would not hurt the song, I thought 😉 - ziona)

Working with ziona was great fun and I enjoyed it so much, Thank you! 🥰
