Eivind Sommersten - Green Delta Sisters (feat. Thanatos)
This was my entry for the Remix64 25th anniversary competition at BIT Live 2026. It consists of parts from 4 different SID tunes (in order of appearance): Green Beret by Martin Galway, Giana Sisters by Chris Hülsbeck, Delta by Rob Hubbard, and Thanatos - also by Rob Hubbard (originally by Julian Breeze). The remix placed 2nd.
The project started as a draft of Giana Sisters, which has a classic 1-7-6-5 progression, and I discovered that Green Beret actually works on top of it. Lo and behold, so does Delta, even though it actually has a slightly different chord sequence originally. The same with Thanatos, but there I felt I was pushing it even more so I decided to stop there. It’s probably a bit much to cobble all this together as it stands, but I see it more as a celebration of these classics than a perfect standalone piece, and most importantly I had a lot of fun creating it.
