Remixer of the Year (ROTY) 2025 Voting Closes Jan 18th

05/01/2026

This is a friendly reminder that voting for the Remixer of the Year (ROTY) 2025 awards closes on Sunday, January 18, 2026. If you haven't done so, yet, you have until then to vote for your favorite remixes and remixers.

And if you can't remember all the wonderful remixes that were released in 2025, listen to snippets from each of them in the Remix News episodes that were released monthly. (November and December episodes are coming shortly, too.) That's roughly 3+ hours of music to get through, but much less than listening to all the releases in their entirety.

Remember to enter a vote for each of the remixes and remixers you want to nominate in a given category, not just one! Every single nomination will count towards the final totals.

Have fun voting!

Listening Recommendation

 Hi Fi Sky

Arranged by Eivind Sommersten

I've been a big fan of Hi Fi Sky, both as a piece of music, but especially after I learned about the technical wizardry that created it. Here you've captured the atmosphere and spirit of the original so well, and you even managed to embellish it (those lush reverbs: my gosh, so wonderful!). I just can't stop listening to it. Really well done!

 Zamzara (Spice Mix)

Arranged by Gustav Taxén

A nice groove is what makes this remix pretty good, although I think the snare-like drum has annoyingly too many high frequencies (read: it's noisy). Funky bass line, pleasant electric pianos and a fitting lead characterize this remix. Unfortunately that synth-flute lead later gives way to an overfiltered annoyance. Luckily it doesn't last too long. The serene ending is quite lovely.

 Battle Squadron Genos 2 Edition

Arranged by Tony Fluke73 Wiren

Fluke’s piano playing was truly enjoyable to listen to. The enthusiasm shown throughout the performance was clear and made the music feel lively and engaging. Fluke played with confidence and strong ability, showing good control of the instrument and a nice sense of expression. Overall, it was a pleasant and impressive performance that showed both passion and talent for piano playing.
