I've been wanting to make something from this memorable tune for ages and figured I'd do something I never managed as a kid, escape.
The arrangement constantly kept me on my toes (being a terrible keyboard player) as the original keeps changing key and seems to be half built from sus chords. My poor brain keeping track of all those chord inversions in keys I don't use very often was often disorientating.
After submitting the track, I kept hearing these big resonant peaks from the bass in the car and once you hear something, you can't unhear it. Also the sub-bass was a good 1.5db louder or so and was a bit much on an old pair of headphones. So this is a note to future Tim.. listen to the final mix on as many devices as possible *before* submitting the track!
I fixed the mixing issue and resubmitted. Hope it's come out ok.

Sounds like a hit soundtrack from a 1990s blockbuster movie. Amazing combination of synths, pads and other elements as it builds up to a crescendo , which suddenly ends, only to be followed by yet another amazing buildup in the second half. Tim: this is just superb! What a fantastic tribute to an old game from a Hungarian software powerhouse!
UPDATE: The more I listen to this remix, the more I admire it. This is sooo good!
