Story
A few days ago Johannes Bjerregaard passed away at the age of 52. We were both composers on the Commodore 64 computer in our teens and both members of the group Maniacs of Noise.
He was my mentor and a huge inspiration when I was young. His melodies taught me how to phrase and how to make them breath, when to set in the (right amount of) vibrato. He did the impossible with the 3 voice SID chip. For me he was the best of them all.
Even though we never met in real life he has been my hero ever since and it saddens me we will never be able to meet, nor that I can express my gratitude.
This is an homage to his legacy called Stormlord.

Unexpectedly beautiful and emotional piano piece. See my review for explanation.
I like this tune... Very jazzy
Beautiful rendition
Sweet spleen
I'm lost for words. This is perfect, absolutely perfect.
The weight of sorrow on every single keystroke... Thank you, Reyn! May you rest in eternal peace, Johannes.
Amazing! Listen two times!
A little bit unspectacular, like elevator music. But as always, nicely played!
Gorgeous tune.

Generally, I do not like piano-only pieces because it is so darn difficult to get emotion out of the instrument, and it requires someone of Reyn's caliber to coax every bit of emotion out of it, which he does here.
Masterclass.
A great send-off for a fallen scener. Rest in peace Johannes!
