Since It's Binary, Baby! has gone off the radar for a while, I decided to release the remixes here on RKO. I will release one track per month in track order from the album. I decided to remaster the tracks. Not sure if they're better sounding or just different sounding, but they've been remastered from my original Renoise mixdowns.

I almost went insane trying to mix this track. I was never satisfied and never thought it up to album standards, but I still found it appealing. At the time no one had remixed this track before, and I really liked the sound and the change in style in the middle. In the end I dumped all the tracks to individual WAV files and sent them to Sonic Wanderer for mixing. (That's how I remember it anyway.) His version is the one on the album.

I found this version on an old HD. This is my original Renoise mixdown of the complete track. The mixing is a bit off, but I really like the feel! There's also lyrics during the break in the middle that were left out on the album version. I don't remember why. They add a nice touch, with the lyric maybe if I changed my style I'd be happy for a while and then the track completely changes style.

I'm impressed with how I managed to make this track sound both 80s and 90s at the same time, while making it feel completely natural. The song definitely feels longer than the 3 minute play time - in a good way! This track shouldn't work. But if you just sit back and let it hit you, without analyzing, it'll get under your skin.

The lyrics are quite gloomy. At the time of writing I felt really disillusioned with life in general, struggling to see the point of it all.

Still not happy with the mixing though.😉
