I keep coming back to this tune after lots of C64 remakes. I've never heard the original tune so I don't have any nostalgic feelings but there are feelings in this remix! The style isn't what I usually listen to, but this one triggered my interest. Well done guitar play, nice distortion, sound effects are not overdone, and some noisy 8-bit samples. A refreshing combination.

The most impressive thing in Axeman & Tuomio's Remix64 compo entry Furycalypse Now is definitely the guitars. Other than that it's a bit weird for my taste with its haphazard arrangement and senseless speech samples. Although I dig its drums, too.

I loved this one. I am not familiar with the original SID, so I gave a neutral on that one. Great guitar work. More importantly, I think this piece of music achieves what all great music should do - it makes you think and reflect on things. With a war theme and samples of the movie, this is a great tune that really got me thinking about the futility of war. This is powerful stuff. The choppers, the gas, the gunfire, the scream when the guy is shot - brilliant. The haunting last words of 'Someday this war is going to end" take this fantastic remix out. Oh, did I mention I really liked the guitar work?
