Story

From the Cinematic64 album, released on December 4, 2019.

 

I wanted to create something dark and, in Fred's own words about his original SID; Very hypnotic.

Each track has a short story that I had in mind while creating it. The story for this track:

THE MANTRA (Mutants) - We have stopped imagining ourselves as anything other than entities taking revenge. We now live and breathe the mantra that is easily conveyed by simple ostinato's that translates to I will kill you and I will take revenge and variations thereof. There is a re-ignition of fighting spirit among the remaining populous after a horrendous act by the opposition.

It's gritty, highly textural, with lots of distortion and industrial sounds - just be careful with that volume button so it doesn't blow out your sub-woofer. This is still one of my favorite tracks from Cinematic 64.
