Neat idea, but it misses the mark bigly at several points. For example, the section between 0:53-1:30 sounds way too dissonant to me, dare I say, off-key. When the bass+drum comes in at 1:30, it sounds so much better.
I also hear bum notes in the bass between 2:13-2:34. I also think the violin goes into high pitches that sound unnatural (e.g. at around 0:35-0:45). Maybe your violin samples just get stretched beyond their limit?
All in all, a great idea to use violin as the basis for your remix, but it sorely lacks on execution at way too many spots.
