Lotus Turbo Challenge 2 End Tune - arranged by Tony Fluke73 WirenReview by Oxx, 12/04/2024 While the execution is perfect, the lead at 01:47 is above all expectations, the reasons this is not all three REDs for me are: 1. The arpeggios, which are the main characteristic of this tune in my opinion, are not the same. Somewhere in the original tune the arpeggios play isolated and that is the greatest part for my humble ears and the signature of the tune. 2. At 01:56 the part of the melody is different than the original, this may well be intentional. I listened to the original one to comfirm this. Overall, this is again great great work Tony. Let's imagine you went to a friend's party and someone played this live! Amazing. |

IK+ remix - arranged by a-MaceReview by Oxx, 23/08/2022 The beginning is so promising, I can't help feeling a bit disappointed with the rest. But all in all (after listening to it for multiple times), I think I liked the arrangement, the altered parts of the melody etc. Just one note , I think the part starting at 02:58 deserves a good lead instrument and some sophistication, but the supporting elements starting at 03:14 compensate for it. Most of the melodic parts are recorded (or programmed) without velocity fluctuations (if my ears are not failing me. If this is not so you can always correct me) Will listen to it once more now 😊 |

Beyond the Ice Palace Live Performance - arranged by Tony Fluke73 WirenReview by Oxx, 09/06/2022 What I liked the most about the work is that every single element and all the instruments playing together being clearly distinguishable. Note: This is a quality I myself cannot achieve very often. (never?)Less is more!. Some notes: 00:10 - Pitch slide : pitch bend range could have been adjusted so that the slide could have ended on a harmonic or on some planned pitch. As it is, it felt like a bit random to me. 00:21 - And in many more repetitions, the same slightlyout of sync elements in the background has added (for me) a naturalness, a human factor, a groove if you may, which is good, but the synchronization failures should also be very subtle I think, which seems to be violated a little bit here. 02:14 - and again at the end (04:18) The master bus goes competely silent abruptly, This audible silencewas a little bit unexpected to my ears, because the reverbs had still time to roll. And at last, the output could have been better if some variations were added to the repetitive sections. Note: This is another quality I myself always fail to get right. I realized that the top remixes on remix.kwed.org get that right, which means more hours to spend on the project 😊 I enjoyed listening to this remix as well as the original sid. I think the originality is preserved well. Note: I am no one to judge any other's work. But after seeing how much others' comments and reviews helped me improve myself pushed me to write anyway. 😊 Oxx. |

Commando High-Score Live Performance - arranged by Tony Fluke73 WirenReview by Oxx, 19/04/2022 Injects calmness into your brain, very relaxing and easy to listen. The guitar sounds very good, whatever synth it is, it rocks. For the Sax, though, I cannot say the same. Some instruments can just not be emulated to the point that they pass theTURINGtest I guess. 😊 I liked this remix, especially the harmony of the instruments, an easy accompaniment, soft percussions etc. For me, this work shows that you can achieve a good, likeable, can-be-listened-to-at-any-timemusical outcome with just a few tracks. There is no nostalgia factor I have to admit, or I could not hear it. On the other hand, I can't think of how to add it into this remix. No big deal for me. I vote very goodfor the technique, for the selection and harmony of instruments. I'd love to read the story and the background of making this. |

Enduro Racer (Rocking Rider Mix) - arranged by 0supereg0Review by Oxx, 14/04/2022 Not being at a proficiency level to evalaute others' work, I still wanted to share some thoughts; The battery sounds perfect, while the bell voice is a bit overwhelming to my liking. The electro guitar is perfectly played, Is it live? Even though I don't listen to this genre, I can feel that this is a good example of a high quality, well mastered piece of work, WELL DONE. |
