Space Harrier - arranged by Peter Clarke

Review by C64_Gamer, 11/10/2020

I am also someone who pumped coins into this game and had the arcade and C64 version of this tune imprinted on my brain. This is a truly great remix that captures the spirit of the original in a style that is straight out of the time that the C64 and arcade version are from. The strings and brass are wonderful and the whole thing is uplifting. An outstanding remix.

Tales of Boon (The Collaboration Mix) - arranged by Peter Clarke, ziona & Slaygon

Review by C64_Gamer, 18/08/2020

The track notes tell an interesting story and the remix lives up to the story. Well Done ziona, slaygon & peter clarke. This is a really powerful & moody journey. The sound is flawless to me and it has blended into one complete tale.

Saboteur II (western mix) - arranged by Johan Andersson

Review by C64_Gamer, 31/05/2020

A neat idea that deserves a red for artistic realisation. I wish the spot-instruments like maracas & quijada were more prominent in the mix and made it sound more like Morricone. The trumpet is realistic but the brass at 1:25 is synthy and unconvincing. Overall it's a solid remix and a good listen.

Cybernoid II - The Alt-Rock Mix - arranged by Peter Clarke

Review by C64_Gamer, 11/05/2020

Alright, I'm with LaLa on this one. It's technically brilliant and the arrangement is just superb. If there was something higher than a red smiley, I'd award it to this remix. This is a real musician and composer at work.

Defender of the crown (The Elf's Story) - arranged by Peter Clarke

Review by C64_Gamer, 04/10/2019

This is the absolute best remix I've heard on here. It's 10 minutes of pure storytelling, seamlessly pit together by someone who really knows what they're doing. Technically, its flawless. Nostalgically, it puts you right back in the game and artistically, the added background sounds are superbly placed and appropriate. Overall, this suite of music has atmosphere and great emotion. It gave me goosebumps in places. Really, really well done.

Flimbo's Concerto (Opus 12 in C major) - arranged by Peter Clarke

Review by C64_Gamer, 04/10/2019

I've only discovered this remix recently and listened to it at least 10 times now. Something kept me coming back for another listen and each time I heard something new in the mix. The arrangement is clever and the instrumentation well used to add power and gentleness appropriately. I love how it deviates from the original yet never leaves you doubting which tune you are hearing. Quality remix.

Shadowfire (The Retro Remix) - arranged by Peter Clarke

Review by C64_Gamer, 04/10/2019

Wow! Having spent an hour listening through your remixes on here, I got to this one which I didn't remember listening to previously, (although, I must have because I'd voted on it). I really like the 2nd subtune in this remix. Although the 2 halves marry together perfectly, the 2nd part just lifts you. I remember Shadowfire quite well. The music was always the thing that elevated the game. Great job!

Tai-Pan (an ear movie) - arranged by Peter Clarke

Review by C64_Gamer, 29/09/2019

Very film-score-esq!! I had to give this several listens to hear everything that's going on and going in. Mr Clarke, your remixes get better and better and just like La La, you get extra points from me for including sub #2. It definitely captures the feel and atmosphere of the game and artistically and technically?? Well, Nailed 100%. A great remix.
