Rambo and Bombo on Impossible Mission (unplugged) - arranged by Mahoney

Review by almightyc64, 27/10/2003

I'll definitely agree with the other reviewers, this one is strange, but in a good way 😊 It sounds like something out of a strange psychological horror movie. If I was trapped on a tropical island somewhere with a psychopath hunting me, this is the music I'd expect to hear in the background.

Spy vs. Spy II (Profound Mix) - arranged by Zyron

Review by almightyc64, 11/10/2003

A decent mix of the sidtune with a drumbeat make this one enjoyable to listen to as an enhancement of the original. Not my favorite remix of the Spy vs Spy II music, but it's a decent effort.

Chimera ('99 Offcut mix) - arranged by Chris Abbott

Review by almightyc64, 14/06/2003

This is a great remix of the main song from Chimera. An excellent mixture of new sound with just the right portions of the original SID make this one a winner. The two tunes from Chimera are a couple of my favorite sidtunes to listen to, and I love listening to this remix just as much.

Chimera (Standfast Remix) - arranged by Philip Bak

Review by almightyc64, 06/06/2003

The two tunes from Chimera have always been some of my favorite c64 tunes, and Phil Bak does a wonderful job with this remix of the high score tune. It sticks very close to the original which is not a bad thing, and the preacher at the end of the tune is almost enough to make me wish I was in church on a sunday morning. Excellent job.

Congo Bongo (Smothering Cow Remix) - arranged by DJ Kinky

Review by almightyc64, 06/06/2003

Short, but fast paced remix of the Congo Bongo tune. Not much used from the original music, but still interesting to listen to. Overall a good tune and it's part of my regular playlist.

Spy vs Spy II (Late Nite Mellow) - arranged by Rauli

Review by almightyc64, 06/06/2003

This really is an excellent remix. It plays quite a bit slower than the original tune, but it's very enjoyable to listen to and stays very close to the original. I'd say Late Nite Mellow is a perfect way of describing this. One of my favorite remixes for sure.

Wizball Hiscore (Bossa Mix) - arranged by Eric Delos

Review by almightyc64, 06/06/2003

This is an excellent remix of the Wizball Hiscore tune. Very relaxing to listen to with a terrific repetitive beat. I never really appreciated the original SID music from this game, but this Remix gave me a whole new appreciation of the high score theme. This is more than just your usual remix in that it's close enough to the original to be recognizable, yet goes off in it's own direction with great results. Top notch!
