Darth SIDe - a C64 tune collection
Re: Darth SIDe - a C64 tune collection
I liked Hypergame and Aenthera so I'll check this out, cheers!

Great stuff man, i loved it. What SID settings you recommend for good emulation quality. I found reSID-fp perform better but it hangs up my system.

Re: Darth SIDe - a C64 tune collection
Damn! My Bandcamp-collection just got bigger.

Had a choir in my heart and had to kill it to survive.
Re: Darth SIDe - a C64 tune collection
Damn, I was away for a looong time.
Thanks for the feedback! I really appreciate that.
So, my VICE 2,4 settings (3 or above has a reduced sound):
MACHINE:
- C64C PAL
SID SETTINGS:
- sid filters on
- reSID-fp 8580R5 1489 (sounds almost completely identical to my fav real machine, really hard to tell the difference in an A/B test)
- sample method: resampling
- pass band: 90%
SOUND SETTINGS:
- DX driver on
- output mode: mono
- sample rate: 44100 Hz
- buffer size: 350ms (max)
- sound fragment size: large
- synch method: exact
I hope that helps.

I have no idea what is the textbook perfect setting but I'd gladly tell you mine. It works everywhere for me, from an old single-core 1.7GHz machine through a laptop to a 6-core studio workhorse. Maybe it helps that all of them have some sort of quick full duplex audio interface, Focusrite the most.GoGoaGone wrote: 21/03/2018 - 12:42 What SID settings you recommend for good emulation quality.
