Strange but true: I had no idea that Hefti wrote the Batman theme. I've played some of his tunes on the piano and I always thought he was strictly a jazz man. Oh well, live and learn. R.I.P.

It was pretty sad actually, as my formative years of watching breakfast television always had the old 1960s TV series, and plenty of "oof" "biff" and "zok!" along the way with that classic theme tune...
