It's been a while... it's been forever.

I used to be a regular on Lemon64, LemonAmiga and here... but then life got in the way. Some may remember, some may not. Memories they fade away...

"What has happened since last I was here", he pondered rhetorically? I moved (back) to Australia ten years ago... and then the relentless march of time took over. I've blinked and next thing you know, here I am, yearning for nostalgia and all things retro.

On the creative side of things, I've joined a band that plays old ex-Yugoslav rock, which feeds into the nostalgia of the expat community from the former Yugoslavia... you see the pattern. I am also a founding member of the acoustic duo Jumping off the Swing, with one of my best friends, in which we write and perform our own original songs. Most of the original material was written by my friend, but I've written a few that I am proud of. There are plenty more in the pipeline. Better late then never I guess.

Anyway, I have always had the idea of doing a sid cover. Who knows, now that I am involved in music again, maybe it will happen one day. In the meanwhile, I will enjoy the creative output of the many talented members of this forum. I still listen to Slay radio often and I do like to revisit RKO for the classics and new material.

Maybe this should be renamed re-introduce yourself here. Some of our introductions were nearly 20 years ago.

Greetings everyone, Vandahlia here.

New to this site in the capacity of a remixer since I primarily make original tracks, although game music remixes of various 80s-90s titles is something that I do enjoy and sporadically make.

All my stuff, both remixes and original music, can be found at Bandcamp: https://vandahlia.bandcamp.com

Cheers!

Greetings everyone, Gurbz here. New to the C64/Amiga remix scene. I played the C64 and Amiga a lot back in the day, in hindsight that music made a difference to me. As a teenager I had one foot in the NWOBHM music and the other in the C64/Amiga games. I recently combined both in a Last V8 remix.
About myself a bit: I sing lead and play lead guitar in a dutch band called 'Carving Stone'. I write original material and thought it would be fun to create a rock version of the Last V8 after buying the C64audio book on Rob Hubbard' 'Master of Magic'. I didn't know anything about chiptunes, remix64, etc then. So when I had the time I created the first V8 cover version, also as a part of me learning tot mix and master audio. The V8 remix turned out reasonable ok so I decided to have it properly mixed and mastered by the guy who teaches me the mixing stuff. Reactions were positive so I am working on the next one. Thanks for the encouragement y'all, I read and hear great stuff on these pages! Cheers, Gurbz
