Great idea but the mixing is really expandable. Maybe a bit reverb on your voice would help. Sometimes the track appears overcompressed.

It sounds like you have an automatic panning effect on the main instrument at around 40 seconds. I think it makes it sound choppy because instead of each successive note switching between each speaker what I am hearing is a note starting on the right, getting cut short as it moves to the left.
