Also pick up Music Tech magazine, July 2012: http://www.rlslog.net/music-tech-magazi ... -2012-p2p/

There's an article about making good chiptunes. As is there in the August 2012 edition of Computer Music:

Thanks Commie_User, both Computer Music & Music Tech look very interesting. Do you think their DVD contents are worth it for a subscription? Unfortunately they come at double the price over here on the newsstands (around 15€).

It depends if you really want what's on them that bad. Download and read the magazines again and find out for yourself whether you want to go and buy current or back issues.

There are two DVDs on the current Music Tech and you may like the Kontakt synth packs on them. The way the sampler uses them makes it sound like you've got the real Juno 6 and things.

The Computer Music discs usually have a nice spread of software and samples. And I would definitely recommend a Computer Music Special if you see one. They're great little beginners' guides or guide books to a particular genre.
