Romeo Knight's first contribution to Remix64-Scene

Hi folks,

I'm really glad I found this neat site. Some will remember me from Amiga-Times as a composer for Red Sector/TRSI, and I did a few compositions for games, e.g. Dynablasters, under my real name Eike Steffen (just yesterday I recognized that someone did a remix of this at AMIGARemix.com. Great feeling!)
Now, my first own Remix:
It's (of course) one of my all-time favourites, a Rob Hubbard-Tune that has already been done a few times, but not the way it will be interpreted by me.
Because I own a "real" studio for professional purposes, no MIDI or sequencers will be used and all instruments are played live, except for the drums (I promise I'll work on this for the future!).
I've already done the drums and will be starting doing sounds and tracks this evening. I think within the next week you are able to listen to the result.
I'm very curious how the community will like it.

If you are interested what music I play in my freetime, go to
http://www.plusultranone.de

Thanks for providing such a great platform here,
Bye,
Eike

Hi Romeo,

Welcome to the forum!! I remember your work from the good old days of the Amiga scene and was a fan of your great mods - especially tracks from the CLASSIC Red Sector Megademo (loved the squashy Arnie heads and "Roomeeeooo Kniiighhht" sample in that part of the demo!)

It's great to hear that you are working on a C64 remix - especially one which will have lots of live playing in it - cool!! We'll definitely give it a spin on our Sunday night SLAY radio show once you've released it. :D

Wow! It's Mr Romeo Knight himself! RISE UP!

The Red Sector MegaDemo is indeed a classic and the image of that skeleton cowboy with a match always reminds me of the good old Amiga days

So, maybe you can help me.... what on earth does the sample http://www.hadrill.co.uk/Duese.wav actually mean in English? I've always wondered that!!

Great to have you on the board and I cannot wait for the remix you are working on - I just know it's err going to be a very very big hit! (Sorry couldn't resist)

Well it's kinda easy:"Froemmel die Duese de la Moemse de froetsch froemm" actually means - NOTHING. Absolutely makes no sense. Only "Duese" is something like a turbine - but this makes no sense at all, either :). I took this sample from a german radio ad in that time, as far as I remember.

I hope I could help you, :P
Bye,
Eike

Welcome, Romeo. Stay a while, stay forever!

I think I still can hum some of your old Amiga-scene-tunes! Good work back then, good fun now! :D

Was soll das überhaupt heißen, "ifadeo"?
Eikeee
