Re: General Mixing and Mastering
That's a good point, Andy. I've been in that situation a good few times, pulling the 'ends' of the spectrum back again when it suddenly hits my brain how overcooked the EQ is. A good, even sound is what you need, with maybe a sprinkle, one end or the other, of boost. Although, if it's an 80s-type so...

Re: General Mixing and Mastering
Well, what to say to that flow of consciousness? Would you like to post a link to something you've already done? Then tell us what you think is sonically wrong with it? Maybe all you need are a few technical hints to explore, which can then bring some creativity out. Or to try some completely differ...

How do I stop the screen blanking out on LOAD?
Is there a POKE and SYS I can do to reset the Commodore and keep the text input screen visible on tape load? I fancy experiencing a tape load as it was on my old PET. At least until the coloured bars start flashing, or maybe even after that in certain cases. Though don't bother if it's more than a c...

Re: General Mixing and Mastering
Well first things first, what's your direction? It'd be no good, say, our rambling on about having a smooth-sounding valve and tape master, if you're after something to literally just punch up or line up among other songs. A lot of recordings don't even need it these days. Mastering can be as much a...

Re: Convert midi to SID
3. Ear2Midi <-- That is not a real program its a joke. Don't joke too soon. There's Celemony Melodyne, for all your demixing and MIDI conversion wants. Well, Midge Ure swears by it anyway. 632uvEVGPFY Or, if you can't afford it , grab the basic free JUNCTION. That VST copies and converts your audio...

Re: Will any of you ever add lyrics to your music or remixes
Well that answers my question. That's very much everyone. Maybe all we need now is a full-fledged Commodore 64 rock opera and the Scene's done for all eternity. Though let's not get into an argument about it: http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/916797-axe-of-rage/44933083 Cheers! ________________ GAME CO...

Re: Convert midi to SID
And I've a question too - as MSSIAH seems to lack a basic MIDI-SID conversion, would anybody care to write a simple PC applet? Y'know, one which takes a 3-channel MIDI file, with almost no frills before spitting out a SID or self-running executable?

Will any of you ever add lyrics to your music or remixes?
....And is it even possible? And if putting words to a remix, will it wreck the 'purity' of the original music or enhance it? You could find yourself sticking extra bits in or making medleys. Or have the beginnings of a new song due to inspiration. http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_psEWmIUZ79g/S8Im68Sw8nI/A...

Well perhaps you can take your mind off again by re-assembling your 'home arcade' systems. Re: US Army and Home Retro Fun
I remember those. You were better off just being given a bar by your Mum. There was much more of it for the money than those dinky things for the toy. But the plastic vendors did look good. Though only having been a tiny tot in the 70s, I was luckier to catch the 80s. And have goodies like these: um...
