Quick thoughts on Remix64 Vol. 2

Umm... I'm not entirely sure this fits that well in this thread, but I didn't want to open up a new one. Anyway, as mentioned above, I got my copy of the CD along with the new PPOT-album just today, but only had time to quickly scan through the tracks.. so I don't have a much more detailed opinion y...

Well, postman came, grinned, plonked envelopes into everybody's post boxes and left. Guess what he didn't bring. Shame, I planned to give it to someone this Christmas Eve. It's funny how crap "german efficiency" can be when you need it. That leaves me amazed that my c64audio.com par...

Upcoming CDs?

Hya.. Having ordered the new C64-bases CDs yesterday, I noticed the list of soon/not-so-soon coming discs... While the first three (BIT Live and Galyway DVD, BIT 4) are obvious, the other two I've never heard of before. What's FTC: 01:04 Eternal and Datahits II? I'm quite curious about these and wou...

Unfortunately, that's the problem with a well-covered tune: no matter how well it's done, if it's something the public have heard remixed a lot before then yes they do get bored. I'm still not convinced by that particular point: Even decades later, people still love e.g. The Beatles or ABBA, and th...

Just a statement here about your thoughts. If you only buy music in which you know from years ago. Then why ever buy a CD from new bands and artists? Well, usually because I've heard and liked some song of them I on the radio or MTV or someplace else, thus making me seek out more from them. I'm awa...

It's a weird situation, and no mistake. It will be interesting to see how Project:Galway fares, since this is aimed squarely at people who like the SID sound, and who want to reminisce over the sound they fell in love with... I've often wondered how many people out there actually want me to produce...

I'm sorry, but I have to disagree to with a lot of what Warren says. For a start, while I agree that a select few tunes have by now been covered often enough, I think the example of the Last Ninja games isn't a good one: If there are a dozen subtunes that do sound different, they shouldn't be dumped...

I'm not sure the people out there would pay an extra £2 for a better booklet: put it this way, if you sold the booklet on its own, would people pay £2 for it? A great booklet is a nice bonus (and with BIT 3 was integral to the product if the story helped you interpret the music)... but there'...
