Extremes are always difficult to handle. In my mind, the voting system should be somehow guided and controlled. The current rating system is ok, but it relies too much on people's ability to handle the issue right. So, what I suggest would be enhancing the voting system instead of replacing it total...

That was my exact thought too. Lennon, Hendrix, Randy Rhoads...
Coincidentally, Dime died the same day Lennon did.

That sucks so bad. I've been pissed off the whole day about this, the man pretty much redefined the metal guitar after 80's hair metal with Cowboys From Hell. Truly unique style.

R.I.P. Dimebag,

Sumppi, who has a tiny bit of DBD riffing in the mix too (literally).

don't forget the sound creation side is purely hardware... the "VST" part is controller software only.... Control and audio interface for the hardware, yes. Ah, no more sysex dumps... Out of all the virtual analoge synths I've heard (I own a Supernova) the Virus knocks them all for 6. If ...

I'm ordering the keyboard version of TI too, I've long wanted a decent non-VST synth again to have quick access to when the inspiration strikes. It's just that after moving strictly to VST world the old way seems kinda, well, old :)

The TI seems to solve that sw/hw dilemma pretty nicely.

Sorry for the major sarcasm, but I'm afraid your post deserved it. Well, it isn't the first or surely the last time. Read the comments all over this forum from the people who were there, and I'll think you'll realise how wrong you were. I tried to further explain my opinion in the subsequent posts,...

You need a serious demoparty man, bitlive isnt and never was, a demoparty. I know those feelings, ive been there... in the thick of it back in the amiga group days.... but bitlive is about the music and the artists, not the demo's I just used the demoparty feel as an example of more community drive...

Mmmph. Being honest, it was shedloads more than that. I guess you had to be there. Probably so, then. Although judging by my previous experience of similar events, had I been there, I'd probably feel the same. Seems like my preference in entertainment just doesn't really match the approved profile....

I'm sorry to hear you didn't enjoy it, sumppi - but I have to say, I think you've sort of missed the point someplace. Maybe this just isn't your kinda thing. I enjoyed it alright, as much as I could while staying at home being bitter about not being actually there. I'm jealous to those that got to ...

Yeah - all 250 people who were there thought so too - I was stunned by the silence, broken only by the occasional jeering. I thought I'd comment on the oh-so-witty remarks one by one but nah, not really worth it. The main point was that if it's not financially viable this way the solution probably ...

Without even being in any of the previous events, I thought I'd share my view anyway. In my opinion, the format of the show as it was this year is pretty dead and uninteresting. Watched from afar it seems to focus around three things: 1) people 2) the concert and 3) beer. Now, the third one I can ge...

If you'd like another "iteration", the part 02:34-03:12 is in my ears a little bit too improvised. Is the bass changed? Transposed? Am I getting senile? There's something there that isn't original, but I can't (without an A-B-comparison, which I won't do...) figure out what it is. It's ba...
