Re: Effects in music...

Yes Elektron Machinedrum. Heh, I am beginning to get a bit sleepy here :) Oh yeah, that's also a good thing when you have a specific effect to create the kind of effect you want to have. Then you can control it just the way you want, without having the "Okay but is that possible and where do I ...

Re: Effects in music...

Wow! You have to tell me about that sexy machine. I have heard a lot about it. Would be a nice to hook it up with a Kaospad :) Just to see what kind of crazy, speaking about "effects" it's possible to do. I still want to get a Kaospad III, so if you have one it would be really cool if you ...

Re: Effects in music...

Very true! There is quite some work to get things to "sit" in a song. For eg. while I worked on my last remix there was a time I thought I was about to go bald if I didn't stop pulling my hair. This was a pretty deep freq. ambient mix of Hysteria, the actual mixing time was longer than the...

Re: Mmmmmmmm...Waaaaldorf! :oP

*drool* I have an Alesis QS7 as masterkeyboard, I really like the keyboard, it has a nice feeling for playing chords, as well as leads. Maybe not the most optimal when it comes to bass and drums(but who really edit drums with a keyboard, destroying the aftertouch and weights ;)) As you say, yes Ales...

Re: Effects in music...

Oh yeah. That's a bit of the owl in the bag sometimes. When you have a good chain of synths with effects, reverbs. It gets pretty unclear and like you said blury and I am still strangling with this. and When you're working with analog mixers, you don't have the same "flexibility", as when ...

Re: Please help friends!

Oh :) I am always like that, the typewriter with a cup of strong coffee. It felt good when I listened to it on my amp and also in the headphones. Should I try and play it on an iPod, in the car, larger hall/club, to get different "audioance"* or you're happy as it is? *different soundscape...

Re: Mmmmmmmm...Waaaaldorf! :oP

Very nice!
Totally rude, bold, fresh, deep and smooth at the same time. It's nice to listen to, even if it's crazy:)
Reminds me about the late nights in the basement.

Re: Mmmmmmmm...Waaaaldorf! :oP

Mmmmmmm!! That's all I can say :) To read such a wonderful post is just as good as... ooooooops! :) Well, it's just fantastic. When I first basically felt over a Waldorf unit, I was for sure in love with it. What's even more ironic is the guy who sold his Pulse to me, he didn't really know what he w...

Re: Effects in music...

Speaking from my own experiences, fiddling and all the different ways/phases I've been working. I think the power is to get the EQ right and to learn how to work with the compressor and dynamic effects. When I started to make music, I kind of just normalized all the tracks, added a general EQ, Compr...

Re: Please help friends!

In general I liked all your works! I hear a lot of nice influences, like Jarre, Vangelis, Aphex Twin, Enigma, etc. It's always nice to listen to a musican's portfolio, to see what he's capable off :) Just going to stack out the parts I liked most. At 08:45, very nice The Last Ninja mix! Would be swe...

Those are very nice and I know how the filters are, since I am a owner of a Waldorf Pulse 8)

Re: My first C64 remix

Nice work!
Neat guitar work and the effects are nice. As mentioned, the bass might need a bit of a EQ.
Very good "first remix", keep up the work you seem to have some skills :)

Here are 3 remixes that could need some feedback

I am not going to write too much more than where to download and where to read the "background" about the remakes. Will add more, when I get some feedback :) http://www.6581.org/DeeS_-_Zappologia_for_Sapper(Zap_remix).mp3  http://www.6581.org/DeeS_-_Uridium_(Little_Green_Alien_Remix).mp...
