Re: PeterW

Yeah, I'm digging his Paradroid remix. It takes some skill to do 7 minutes from a game that IIRC had no music! =)

Re: Ho Hum...

Working graveyard is tough. I did it for a year while working at a hotel in Disney World, which I guess was cool in a way. But I was also going to school during the daytime, so I was a zombie pretty much all of the time. Just remember to treat the robots well! We don't want them to revolt, seeking t...

I once delivered athlete's foot creme to the bassist of Aerosmith, who were staying at the hotel I used to work at. :)

BlitzPlus uses the same 2D rendering library as Blitz3D, so if you're mainly interested in remakes, that's good too.

BTW, all my freeware games were done in Blitz3D. You can check them out here:

Oh, and I currently use BlitzMax , an object-oriented, cross-platform game programming language. The original language BlitzBasic actually began on the Amiga. The community is active with remakers and even some old school developers like the Pickford Brothers. http://www.blitzbasic.com For beginners...

Thanks, guys. =) I hope to get the full version launched by the end of the month. Since the game is very much inspired (or fueled, even) by the remix scene, I will probably offer some kind of promo here when it's done. BTW, I just uploaded a new version of the demo. If you give it a go, please submi...

There was a movie on MST3K called Time Chasers, where the time machine was just a helicopter hooked up to a C=64. =)

Ok, how about this: an undercover feature.

Put a hidden camera in your car and drive around the city blasting Last Ninja remixes at volume=11 until the cops come and harass you about it. Then send the tape to the local news.

Oh, and then talk about your harrowing experience in the podcast.

You could try doing a man-on-the-street feature. Just go out with a mic, pull some random strangers aside, and whistle a C64 tune to see if they can guess what it is. :)

Hiromi - Jazz with Crazy Synths

Thought you guys would dig this. Hiromi is a jazz pianist that likes to mix in some crazy synths into her tunes. Check out "Kung-Fu Champion" on the lower right: http://www.hiromimusic.com/videos.htm (Quicktime) When I first heard her on my local jazz station, I was like "What the hel...

Your Life Theme Song

I read somewhere on the internet that we're really all just video game characters being played by someone in another dimension. Ok, maybe that's not true, but if it were... AND we're really inside of a giant C=64 (work with me here)... What do you think the theme song is for YOUR life? (SID, not rem...
