How would you guys look at me, if that was the case? :) Bit tricky. If something had been stolen from someone you know then you're more likely to stand up and say something. For example, my brother uses Logic Platinum for making music and everything he uses is his own. He's put all his own hard wor...

Fair point, I really hadn't thought of that argument to it.

Because you're taking away the money that the creator(s) would have had in their pocket if you had bought it although I do understand what you mean.

That's why I enclose theft in quotes!

I think some of it is because back then we were all a lot younger than we are now. When I had the Amiga and got involved in the scene I was around between 15 and 19. I'm now 33 and not much has changed except I am paying for a hell of a lot more software than I did back then. Why? Because I have my ...

Looking for a particular demo

Hi all, Justreliving my Amiga days while listening to some of the fantastic remixes on here and I've just thought of a small demo which had some music in it that I loved. I can't remember who made the demo or what it was called but I'm hoping that someone will know what I'm on about. I remember it w...

I've just spent 3 hours reading though this entire thread and visiting almost all of the links. I can't believe the attitude of many who have posted in defence of Timbaland on the youtube clips. I hope this gets sorted and Timbaland comes out of this learning a lesson and that the Janne/GRG get comp...

hahaha just shows how biased we can be when listening to music.

I've never liked lift music (well, rarely but don't like to admit it in public) but thinking about it I've quite liked pieces of music solely because they've been made on a computer whether its the 64's SID or the Amiga's chipset.

Machinae Supremacy

I've got a couple of their tracks (namely only two Sidology files) but how much have they done?

I love the 80s style electric guitar - makes me feel all warm

Would love to hear their other stuff if they have more...

I bought the Wanderer album from Bjorn Lynn's website.

I love it but a mate described it as "lift music" :?

I picked a mate up from his parents place xmas day so he could go to work boxing day. In the car on the way back he asked me if I'd heard the news about James Brown. My answer was "Is he dead?" When he said yes I was shocked because I was thinking of the LA Style track from 1991. RIP edit:...

Yeah, use a card reader. When it arrives it comes with a small amount of printed material but I thought I'd mention it because not many (if any) read the paperwork that comes with toys. Most want to plug the thing in and go! Makke, I'm surprised yours is taking sooo long to come through - mine took ...

Hi all, I think I've gone through all the 8-bit computers including the Oric Atmos and Dragon computers and stayed with the Commodore 64. Have many, many fond memories of the C64. Sometimes I'd load a game just to listen to music while I did something else. After the C64 I got an Amstrad 6128. That ...

I bought a GP2X a few months ago after a workmate told me about them. I'd never heard of them before and if my workmate hadn't said anythign I'd never have bought it as it sounded too good to be true. Not tried the Amiga emulator yet, mainly been playing Sonic on the megadrive emulator and Ghostbust...

Suspiria (Jogeir Liljedahl)

One of my favourite Amiga demo tunes, loved everything about it. The many synths, haunting flute/whistle (?) basically the whole composition and the way it flowed from start to finish. I've uploaded an MP3 I found which I believe Jogeir re-arranged himself. http://www.pictureinthesky.net/external/jo...
