no, the homepage is not yet finshed  , but hey i've got a remix
of 'Loopz' too and i think it's good, can you offer 5mb so i can read what
the ppl think 'bout it...

btw. the 'howie' story takes to long to tell it, maybe tom can't remember
it, so here the short version...hmmm... my wife life in her youth (she's
now 32 years, no misunderstanding... ) in kamen too (like tom..),
she(T.Weiß) had a relationship with a friend (M.Reeder) of tom...so she
meet tom a couple of times.... and in this old days tom looks like
'Howard Jones ' (from the hairstyle...), that means my wife... :D

...but in my opinion tom was a typical 'New Waver' like me and many
other freaks in the old days... it takes hours to fix my hair and i never
leave home without fixing them, yes it takes also a lot of hairspray...

Unfortunately i can't remember your wife :( but the whole story is true !!
Without HOWARD JONES there would be no THOMAS DETERT today ( in the music, of course) because for me he was so invincible, his music, the sound and the deeper meaning in his lyrics.....
And with 13/14 you need IDOLS to go through and YEPP! HOWARD was my big IDOL, so i tried to look like him and i did a bit

btw: I voted for myself

What was this music like?
A relative said last year to me: "You know who just died? FAD GADGET!" and I said "Who?". He thought I should know because I listen to a lot of 80s music, but actually I never encountered Fad Gadget.

yes, it's true after his tour with depeche mode (where i saw him for
the last time, sniff...) in april last year he died (he got heart problems). :(

did you know that depeche mode played their first concerts as support for
fad gadget and there they meet daniel miller (Mute Records Founder)...

Fad Gadget was the first Mute Records Artist after Daniel Miller himself...

Anton Corbjin, the BEST visual artist in my opinion, did some great photo
and cover artwork for Fad Gadget...

Sadly the most famous song of Fad Gadget is 'Collapsing New People'
which he recored together with 'Einstürzende Neubauten'... at the same
time in same studio (Hansa Studio, Berlin) Depeche Mode work on their
album 'Some Great Reward'.....

for Fad Gadget 'newbies' it's a good choice if you buy the 'Best of...' from
2001 it's a double cd full packed with great stuff, also some nice track for
people like me...hmmm...rare tracks, demo tracks and remixes..

Fad Gadget is dead, i still can't believe he left a son, a little daughter and
his wife, he has so many plans and he was working on new material...
it's sooo sad, sniff...

all music lovers outthere buy his records, he was never really famous, so
he never makes much money....it will it be worth....

btw. got my mail from yesterday ??

'Collapsing New People' is NOT the best Fad Gadget song, from the
singles i think it should be: 'Ricky's Hand' or 'Back to Nature'...

did you know that the band of Fad Gadget (aka Frank Tovey) contains
lot of famous musicans...like Alison Moyet (under the flag), Daniel Miller,
Eric Radcliff (famous producer), John Fryer (DM producer) and many more....
Fad Gadget made four fulltime albums their all great.....

mail is out...

People went way off-topic with all that 80's stuff.

(My favourite 80's band - don't know, probably New Order or Yello :)

Anyway, I voted for Huelsbeck, as I have not heard many covers of his work - there's one on the Remix64 CD (I think) and his own enhanced versions on the original Back in Time.

..Hang on, just realised that all those Giana covers are Huelsbeck, aren't they?
