Re: Who still watches cartoons despite being too old for them?
I occasionally get out my Dungeons and Dragons boxset, and I still get disappointed when they never get home... :( http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/news_20061004_full.jpg I know we're not supposed to talk about 'grown up' animation, but I also really like the Aeon Flux stuff (not including that sil...

Re: Darn MIDI timing on PCs!
Regarding your MIDI timing issues, you should not forget that some old hardware synths (especially some Rolands) produce a horrible latency and awful timing by themselves. It's virtually not possible to hit the note at the right time using them via MIDI . That general timing sloppiness is the reaso...

Re: Depeche Mode? WRONG!
I don't know anyone who listens to albums in 5.1. Nobody. Not a single soul.
Ahh, Travelogue. What an effing masterpiece! I'd have a swollen head too if I'd had anything to do with that album.

Re: Depeche Mode? WRONG!
Yeah - they didn't totally bomb out (I liked 'So Hard' and 'DJ Culture' as singles), but they definitely lost their edge album-wise after 'Introspective'. Who knows, they may totally shock me with theis new one. :) I'm also looking forward to the new Human League stuff (if they can find a record lab...

Re: Depeche Mode? WRONG!
PSB were very good up to 'Introspective'. They lost me when they started doing all that camp dance disco crap.
'Go West' was tragic - I almost cried when I heard it. I tend to just listen more to their B-sides thesedays. 'One of the crowd' and 'Don Juan' are still excellent tracks.

Liam's a known C64 fan having been rumbled a while ago for swiping the Arkanoid drums to use in his rather tasty 'Memphis Bells' track.

Cecco's 'Exolon' is a fine, FINE game that I never seem to tire of playing. Sadly though, I do think the Spectrum version is a teeeeeeny bit more playable.

Re: So Blonde Monkey Island
Hehe. Funny - every new console that I get, I just end up playing old emulated games on it. Speaking of old games, R-Type and R-Type II were released on Xbox Live Arcade yesterday. Plays just the real thing too (i.e. bloody difficult) I love all the R-Types (even the third one). And yes - they are ...

Re: Reyn vs Björk - I've seen it all [remix\video]
Ooh - one of my fav Bjork songs! The movie, however...
*edit* Oh, and I mean the 'Dancer in the Dark' movie, not Reyn's movie (which I can't even see because I'm at work right now)!
