Last time I coded on the C64 was in an emulator when I wrote a sidplay compatible play routine for my sample playback. Re-inventing the wheel? No I dont think so, but I'm lazy these days I can get just the kind of C64...

I actually really liked the FF7 music from the PC game, it was in XG midi format.

I actually thought of it as the last great game soundtracks, in that it featured lots of that John Williams staple effect: The leit motiv - themes representing characters/events.

Matt Gray coverd Midnight in Tula and another one as part of the Last Ninja II themes. The Mansion and... the loader to one of the other levels before that I think.

Also Martin Galway did "le Parc" (AKA Streethawk) but that has never made it into sidplay existance.
