Just for fun...

...and because I was bored... and I always wondered how I might do "those chords"...

Nothing going to come of this, purely experimental... but figured some of you might want to hear it..

What am I talking aboot?

Robnox: Heh, I cant really remember any of the old programming stuff I used to do. Last time I coded on the C64 was in an emulator when I wrote a sidplay compatible play routine for my sample playback. Re-inventing the wheel? No I dont think so, but I'm lazy these days I can get just the kind of C64...

I actually really liked the FF7 music from the PC game, it was in XG midi format.

I actually thought of it as the last great game soundtracks, in that it featured lots of that John Williams staple effect: The leit motiv - themes representing characters/events.

You may have influenced me somewhat ;)

No, this one is not for public consumption as I kind went "wow, I cant still do it!" - but I *will* do a complete tune just for the hell of it ;)

Heh, I just knocked together my first actual C64 sidtune in over ten years just now ;)

Hard going, but strangely satisfying it was too ;)

Matt Gray coverd Midnight in Tula and another one as part of the Last Ninja II themes. The Mansion and... the loader to one of the other levels before that I think.

Also Martin Galway did "le Parc" (AKA Streethawk) but that has never made it into sidplay existance.

I've been musing for a while aboot this, but I'll probably not write any more C64 remixes unless I get a brainstorm or something. It occurred to me that 99% of my modern mp3 creations have been c64 covers not original works, and tho many non-c64er friends of mine have liked my works they've often sa...

FeekZoid SID tune covered in PC demo shocker! ;)

LOL Imagine my suprise when going through a bunch of cool PC demos I had downloaded when I got to one called "Clerks" featuring an irritatingly familiar unplaceable tune... One of my sids! I was well chuffed, I can tell you ;) Sid is breakthrough subtune 7 I've put the demo up if you want ...

Fortunately guys, I now compose with Renoise... which is a tracker ;) I wrote about 150 Amiga mods in my time, and I found trackers to be my "weapon of choice" I tried Octamed on the PC but it had serious issues (my "Analogue Ninja" was written with Octamed and some of you may re...

Havent listend to star lifter, but I thought that the Times of lore cover was excellent! It really suprised me as I thought it was going to be a sid-instrumenty cover, until the guitar came in. I thought it was superb! I'd love to be able to get some real guitar play like that into some of my works,...
