I did say this was my first attempt at HTML, Paul. Other people have mentioned the rescaling, if I get time today I will work on version 4... I don't have Paint Shop Pro, or any serious graphic tools at the moment. I'm a newbie when it comes to PC graphics. I know you said it was your 1st attempt a...

Apologies to anyone who tried to view my site yesterday - the JPEG files were so large it took several minutes to load, even on broadband. Switching to GIFs didn't help, as the pictures became very blurry. BUT! Version 3 of the page is now online, so look and enjoy. I also added some links for cert...

Whaaaaaa. We walked from west of the West Pier (the purty one) to Preston Park, got there at about 6pm. Only saw one game going and it wasn't Commie folk. At 7:10, we still didn't see anyone group with a ball, so we walked to the pub. Not wanting to bang on about it too much but it was quite clear ...

Re: Jurgen Vries - The Wilderness

Just checked out the MTV Dance floor chart and noticed that on 8th place was this Last Ninja remix  Jurgen Vries - The Wilderness After obtaining the song with some p2p program I listened to it a few times and it really have that 64ish tune we all know and love 8) It certainly has C64 SID-li...

The building is under security fencing and there's a guard on the door 24/7. He looked most puzzled last Saturday when Paul and I were looking at the outside where the logo was ;) Yeah, I saw him watching us too. The Ocean logo is a very important piece of history so it's understandable that a guar...

I'm a bloody lazy sod sometimes, aren't I?

A quick search on Google for the The Rain bar came up with the confirmation it is in Castlefield.

Wouldn't be a bad place to have a drink or ten. Waz certainly spoke highly of it during Saturday.

Erm....not sure m8. Only ever been to Manchester before for recent England match at Old Trafford so first time in city centre. Just know it as Rain Bar - couldn't pinpoint where :)

I'm sure Waz or Dan will confirm where it is.

Re: A tune i made on dance ejay-feedback please :)

I thought I'd share it with you guys - i made it a few years ago and I've always liked it. Its not a C64 remix or anything, just a wee dance tune. http://www.aqpk41.dsl.pipex.com/PSYCHO(subzero).mp3 It's a good tune m8y. Certainly one that wouldn't look out of place in the masses of DJ dance mixes ...

....I know for a fact Manc is a good night out...... Yep. Certainly agree with that. Was in Manchester over the weekend staying with Waz and you are definitely spoilt for choice as to where to drink & party. Not to mention the amount of places to eat - we had lunch on Saturday in a great all-yo...

In my book, Martin Walker probably did the best Amiga music cover ever with his Speedball 2 cover. I'm sure I could not tell the difference if the game loaded on an Amiga but a C64 played the music! (and it's a nice tune too -- btw, is Nation XII a "real" group or only Amiga musicians?) I...

That's fair enough. It's not going to set the world on fire in terms of originality, I know. I like it though. I guess I'm not so easy to please as I'm no fan of the Zombie Nation track that was in the charts. That one may have had a strong C64 scene connection but it still had to be good enough for...

Jurgen Vries - "Wilderness"

Just been listening to Radio 1 and noticed "Wilderness" by Jurgen Vries (aka Darren Tate) has some C64-like sounds to it. Anyone else noticed this?

Also, has Darren got any links to the scene? Might explain the connection I made.

I think a CD of Rob's music would be a great idea from the point of view that there isn't a definitive collection of Rob's SIDs anyway apart from the C64 demos that were done by Sphinx years ago. The fact that the music on the CD wouldn't be SIDs created on Rob's own C64 is not really a problem for ...

Add to that a valiant effort in goal. It was a performance that Peter Bonetti at his peak would have been proud of :)

In my view, a star in the making
